Sydney, Australia – 10 August 2026 – Australia Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion (AVTIP) was honoured to continue its collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in organising the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Program in Sydney on 10 August 2026.
This marked the third time AVTIP has partnered with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism to organise a Tourism Roadshow in Australia, reflecting an increasingly strong partnership and a long-term commitment to promoting Ho Chi Minh City and strengthening tourism connections between Vietnam and Australia.
Connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Australian Market
The Sydney program brought together representatives from tourism organisations, media, travel businesses, tour operators and other industry partners, creating an important platform to showcase Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism products and destinations, expand connections within the Australian market and explore future opportunities for collaboration.
From Connection to Meaningful Collaboration
One of the key outcomes of this ongoing partnership has been AVTIP’s support in connecting the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism with the Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA), contributing to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two organisations.
The MOU marks an important step towards strengthening ties between Ho Chi Minh City and Australia’s tourism industry, while creating new opportunities for destination promotion, travel trade connections, industry collaboration and the development of two-way tourism between the two countries.
AVTIP – Connecting the Right Partners, Building Long-Term Relationships
For AVTIP, its role goes beyond organising individual events. AVTIP aims to connect Vietnamese destinations and tourism organisations with the right partners in Australia – from government agencies, tourism organisations and industry associations to media, travel businesses and tour operators.
More importantly, AVTIP seeks to turn these connections into meaningful and sustainable partnerships.
After three roadshows, this collaboration demonstrates the value of maintaining a long-term presence in the Australian market, building trusted relationships and consistently promoting Vietnam as a destination.
AVTIP looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, as well as supporting other destinations across Vietnam, to promote Vietnamese destinations, expand the travel trade network and strengthen two-way tourism between Australia and Vietnam.
